May Day Celebration at Institute 2023
May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, is celebrated on May 1st every year to recognize and honor the contributions of workers to society. At our institute, May Day was observed with great enthusiasm and excitement this year. The program started with a warm welcome speech by our director, Br. Regy, who highlighted the importance of workers’ rights and the role of labor in building a just society.
The event was filled with various cultural activities that included song, dance, and skits, all centered around the theme of workers’ rights. The performances were both entertaining and thought-provoking, as they shed light on the challenges and struggles faced by workers around the world. Students and staff alike participated in these activities, showcasing their talents and creativity.
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of our special guest, Mr. Dibyendu, our MLA. He spoke about the importance of supporting workers’ rights and the need for stronger labor laws to protect workers from exploitation. He also praised our institute for organizing such an event and emphasized the importance of educating young people about labor issues.
Overall, the May Day observation at our institute was a great success. It served as a reminder of the important role that workers play in our society and the need to support and protect their rights. The event provided a platform for students and staff to come together and celebrate the contributions of workers while also raising awareness about the challenges they face. It was an inspiring and uplifting day that left everyone feeling proud to be a part of this community.
